"Multinational Corporations Jiangsu Tour" Zhenjiang Symposium hosted

On March 6th, the "Multinational Companies Jiangsu Tour" Zhenjiang Symposium and the 2025 European Chamber Jiangsu Government Dialogue were held in Zhenjiang.

As the first stop of the 2025 "Multinational Companies Jiangsu Tour", it attracted over 80 representatives from the EU Chamber, multinational companies, and foreign institutions in Jiangsu attending the event. During the meeting, participants engaged in in-depth discussions on measures for optimizing the business environment, industrial and enterprise incentive policies and green development with provincial departments like Jiangsu Department of Commerce, Development and Reform Commission, Department of Industry and IT, Department of HR and Social Security.

Andreas Risch, Board Chair of European Chamber Nanjing chapter; Managing Director of Fette Compacting (China) Co., Ltd., believed that there is a common interest for enterprises and government and the platform helped to open exchange then split down in several working groups really working on the topics and solving them one by one.

Helmut Guesten, General Manager of Zhenjiang Siemens Busbar Trunking Co., Ltd., was interested in green energy, which he said was a hot topic for all the companies who want to compete internationally, because they all need to have a green factory certificate.  

"Jiangsu has a very friendly ecosystem and very good infrastructure for companies. We are here now started our production in 2023 and have now reached a level of 200 employees. When our company will be fully set up, we have a facility for 1,200 employees", Garvin Hoefig, General Manager of Bitzer Rotary Compressor (Jiangsu) Co., Ltd., shared.

The Zhenjiang Municipal Government and relevant departments actively promoted local investment advantages, expressing their desire to deepen cooperation with multinational companies.

"We're continuing to invest and have foreign direct investment in Jiangsu. Today we're investing in a new plan in Zhenjiang. This will be something that will be coming online within November this year. As a company, we see this as an important region for our business and our investments", Glenn Darley, Marketing Director of Alleima (Shanghai) Materials Technology Co., Ltd., said.

Establishing a platform for dialogue between the government and enterprises, this event further broadened the channels for international economic and trade cooperation in Jiangsu and infused new vitality into the province's efforts to attract and utilize foreign investment.
