80,000 private enterprises in Jiangsu engaged in overseas trade

In 2024, more than 80,000 private enterprises in Jiangsu participated in international trade with the import and export growth rate of the "single champion" reaching over 20%, according to Nanjing Customs.

Statistics show that Jiangsu registered 80,400 private enterprises with import and export performance last year, an increase of 10% from the previous year, accounting for more than 80% of the total number of import and export enterprises in the province.

The import and export value of private enterprises in Jiangsu has increased from 1.25 trillion yuan in 2018 to 2.55 trillion yuan in 2024, with their proportion in the province's foreign trade increasing from 28.6% to 45.3%.

Private enterprises in Jiangsu have shown more significant growth in new industries, new formats, and new consumption.

In 2024, Jiangsu's private single champion enterprises recorded a year-on-year increase of over 20% in imports and exports, accounting for 50% of the total import and export value of the province's single champion enterprises.

Private enterprises are the dominant force in market procurement and cross-border e-commerce. Private enterprises have completed 100% market procurement and export in Jiangsu, and 91.6% cross-border e-commerce platform export.

In addition, in terms of new consumption, private enterprises in Jiangsu imported consumer goods worth 39.14 billion yuan, accounting for 34.6% of the total import value of similar products in the province.
