Jiangsu records 4.78 million border entries, exits in 2024Issuing time:2025-02-12 09:39 In 2024, border ports in east China's Jiangsu province recorded 4.7819 million exit-entries, an increase of 78.57% year-on-year, according to statistics released by the Jiangsu Entry-Exit Border Inspection Station. In 2024, border inspection agencies in the province inspected a total of 28300 inbound and outbound ships, a year-on-year increase of 4.23%, and 2561 cargo flights, a year-on-year increase of 48.9%, reaching 2.16 times that of the same period in 2019, promoting new formats such as cross-border e-commerce to become new engines of foreign trade growth. Various ports in Jiangsu recorded a year-on-year increase of nearly 80% in inbound and outbound visitors, with 3.9555 million passengers, a year-on-year increase of 98.09%.
Jiangsu recorded 200,000 foreigners entering the country on a visa-free basis, accounting for 56.31% of the total number of foreign tourists entering the province, a two-fold increase from the same period last year. The 240-hour transit visa free policy has been applied to Nanjing, Wuxi, Yangtai Airport Port and Lianyungang Port as China Travel is increasing the visitor flow of Jiangsu's cultural and tourism industry.
