Jiangsu revs up major investment project construction

East China's Jiangsu province has stepped up the construction of major investment projects and ensured their smooth progress through every possible effort so as to fulfill goals for social and economic development.

The Yunlong Lake Laboratory of Deep Underground Science and Engneering has recently been listed as a provincial-level laboratory in Jiangsu Province.

As the fourth provincial-level laboratory in Jiangsu, the Yunlonghu Laboratory will further accelerate basic innovation and research in the field of deep earth engineering in a bid to become an innovation source and industrial technology innovation highland so as to provide stronger support for building a globally influential industrial technology innovation center and constructing a high-level technology powerhouse.

Since its establishment in 2021, the Yunlong Lake Laboratory of Deep Underground Science and Engneering has relied on the innovative resources of China University of Mining and Technology with a view to building a national laboratory by focusing on deep soil mechanics and earth science, deep earth exploration and development equipment and disaster prevention and control and deep resources and underground space utilization.

The Yunlong Lake Laboratory will strive to become a source of innovation and a highland of industrial and technological innovation by carrying out various construction tasks in the capacity of a high-quality provincial laboratory.

Wuxi recently launched a Digital Human Resources and Social Security Service Island, which is the first of its kind in the southern Jiangsu region, by adopting a model of "government guidance+market-oriented operation" and integrating multiple functions such as convenient services, digital talents, employment and entrepreneurship in a bid to provide diversified services such as recruitment, training, and labor relations through digital means.

Li Cheng, Operations Manager of Wuxi Digital Human Resources and Social Security Service Island, said, "We provide convenient AI intelligent customer service to improve the interview. Employment and recruitment of employees through digital enhancement, so as to have enabled more efficient and convenient communication with enterprises."

Lianyungang has recently opened its first international freight train for the Spring Festival that connects Jiangsu, Kyrgyzstan, and Uzbekistan via road and railway. The train is loaded with 7 million US dollars worth of 50 containers. This route will take about 15 days to reach its final destination after arriving in Kashgar of Xinjiang via the Longhai Railway and Lanxin Railway, before transferring to the highway and exiting through the Irkeshtan Port in Xinjiang, and finally arriving in Uzbekistan via Kyrgyzstan.

Compared with the traditional railway transportation route, the new route has shortened the mileage by nearly 500 kilometers and reduced the transportation time by about 5 days.

"All relevant units work together to provide coordinated services. With the support of the customs, the agent unit completed the customs clearance procedures in advance," said Liu Zhibin, Minister of Logistics Development Department of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (Lianyungang) International Logistics Park Administration.

"The railway department strengthened transportation capacity guarantee and planned implementation. The loading and unloading station arranged machinery and manpower in advance to strengthen the holiday duty force, so that the operation of the first international freight train in the Chinese New Year pulled out as scheduled."

Trina Solar Dongtai Technology Co., Ltd. has relied on intelligent robots to inspect, package, and store photovoltaic module products for them to be sent to various parts of the country. As a major provincial-level project, the Trina Solar Dongtai project can produce third-generation N-type photovoltaic cells, 10GW high-efficiency photovoltaic cells, and 10GW high-power photovoltaic modules, which is currently the most advanced technology for industrial mass production in the market.
